Together We Can Bring the Best of Cuban Culture to New York!
This year, American Friends of the Ludwig Foundation of Cuba (AFLFC) is celebrating 15 years building cultural bridges between the U.S. and Cuba through exceptional exchange programs and projects in the arts. During these years, we have witnessed amazing career growth from artists and art professionals in both countries who participated in our programs. This milestone couldn’t arrive at a more hopeful and exciting time – the recent changes in diplomatic relations between both nations will advance our impactful work.
To celebrate AFLFC’s 15th anniversary we are producing the Cuban Culture Festival New York (CCFNY), a major celebration of visual and performing arts being hosted by important institutions throughout the city beginning Feb. 24, 2015. The 16th Havana Film Festival New York April 9 – 19, will be part of CCFNY, bringing the most outstanding films from Cuba, Latin America and the Caribbean to an international audience here in New York, fostering appreciation of Latino culture through film.
We need your support to meet our $250,000 goal and make these programs a reality. The next page has suggestions for giving and naming opportunities. Your donation is fully tax-deductible. Please be as generous as possible and help us realize our plans for a successful Cuban Culture Festival New York. Together we can create a powerful impact at this critical time in U.S. – Cuba relations.
We look forward to seeing you throughout the festival. Tickets are now available for Americas Society, The Joyce Theater, BAM, and will shortly be available for the Havana Film Festival New York and Symphony Space.
